I enjoyed my stay at Southgate apartment. They attended my neefs, friendly and everything went fine till i was there.
When i moved out after my lease got completed, they said that they would return my security deposit before 21 days.
But on the 17th day i got a letter saying that i owe them $1222 and they deducted my security deposit $500 and they asked me to pay the $722 within a week. I was shocked to see this.
They have charged me for the normal wear and tear. The carpet had washable stains which i didnt clean it when i moved out. For that they have told me that they had to replace the carpet so they charged me $1000. I argued with them that i would clean the carpet and that would be much lower than $1000 for a 750 Sq.ft apartment.
But they said for a 3 year old carpet, spending money on cleaning is worthless and its their discretion to replace it. So they posed me unfair charges.
I was totally disappointed with their unfair management and i would never ever recommend this apartment to anyone.
SO BE CAREFUL. Dont be a victim.
