Apartment Reviews for Prospect Towers
Not A Place To Call Home

I have lived in this building for over a decade, and prior to the recent change in management was mostly happy with my rental experience. Since Katz Properties purchased the building, I have become increasingly unhappy with the quality of life here.
Rent has been increased significantly – approx. 16% in two years. Maintenance, which was always excellent, has become awful – the intercom system is frequently out of order, the laundry “cash card” system was out of service for an extended period, which meant doing laundry elsewhere, the elevators are slow and frequently break down and are damaged by graffiti (like in a public housing project or something!), there are water backups in the basement parking area (cars surrounded my “moats”), offensive garbage odors in hallways due to lack of cleaning in the trash rooms, garbage left on the outside drive after garbage pickups, inadequate snow removal. Management is unfriendly and unresponsive. I could go on, but you get the picture.
Having lived in this building for such a long time, it’s hard to just get up and leave, but Prospect Towers is definitely no longer a place I want to call home.
