Apartment Review for Blair Place Apartments

I stumbled upon Blair Place Apts. when I was having no luck elsewhere in Jackson searching for a place to live. This was a first for me. Blair Place had completed building an entire unit, for which they were accepting applicants, and my roommate and I had the opportunity to move into one of their 2 bed/2 bath apts. We were pleased with how new and spacious it was and especially having 2 baths, which is hard to find in Jackson. I had no issues living there, other than the high noise level due to the lack of insulation in the apts. At times, it felt like your neighbors were in the same room with you, which is not good unless you want company. Also, construction to build more apts. were in process, which also fed to the noise level.
I was a good tenant, considerate of my noise level, kept the apt. in tip top shape, reported anything that needed attention and always paid my rent on time.
Upon moving out, I cleaned everything in which they required me to, and I did an excellent job at it. I am very anal, I was a housekeeper at one time in my life, and I knew there was nothing that needed to be gone over other than a few nicks on window seals and walls, which I knew would be painted over. When I received my deposit, Blair Place charged me with 3.5 hours of cleaning service to the apt.! I was in shock! What in the world could have taken 3.5 hours of cleaning, that I already cleaned immaculately, for $25 bucks an hour?! Ouch! What a scam! When I called the apts. and spoke with the manager, she could not "remember" what needed to be cleaned but assured me that she would not call upon cleaning services unless she felt it needed it. "Bull_ _ _ _" I say, I requested a list of details of what needed to be cleaned for 3.5 hours. I am waiting for this list and in the meantime, I am feeling taken for granted for. For this reason, I would not suggest applying to the Blair Place Apts, unless you're used to dealing with dishonest people who like to sucker you out of money. No thanks.
