Boulder is a home rule municipality located in Boulder County in the state of Colorado, with an estimated population of nearly 100,000 people. The city is famous for creating an Urban Wildlife Management Plan, which sets policies for managing and protecting urban wildlife. Also, Boulder’s parks department has a Conservation Team that monitors parks (including wetlands, lakes, etc) to protect ecosystems. From time to time, numerous parks and hiking trails are closed to conserve or restore their ecosystems. Boulder is also well known for a host of colleges and universities, great rock-climbing and of course the Boulder apartments that offer all kinds of homes at excellent rates.
The economy of the city rides mainly on high tech companies that source more than 30,000 jobs in the city. Some of the major employers in Boulder are the University of Colorado that employes nearly 7500 people, followed closely by computer giants Sun Microsystems and IBM, Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corporation, and Lockheed Martin besides the administration of the city. With the availability of so many jobs, new residents in the city are many. This is the reason the Boulder apartments experience a low vacancy rate. It’s still possible, though, to find just the right apartment rental that will meet all your living needs.
