Vista Ventana Apartments is situated right off Black Canyon Freeway, with 8 bus stops around the building for easy downtown access. For shopping needs, Kmart and the Metrocentral Mall are two miles away. Down W Northern Avenue, Hard Knocks Gym and Mariposa Park provide a close space for recreation and exercise. Residents criticize the number of animals allowed in the building, as well as the upkeep of the building and safety concerns. Cinnabarr Apartments is situated across the street from Glendale Plaza Shopping Center and La Pradera Park, with West Plaza Park a little further down N. 43rd Avenue. Multiple bus stops are a short walk from the property and make getting around town easy. Countless restaurants are available for residents to choose from: Peter Piper Pizza, Ming-Gee Chinese Food Restaurant, Tortas La Presa, KFC, Taco Bell, and La Purisima Bakery. Several elementary, middle, and high schools are also in the neighborhood, ideal for a family. Less than a half a mile away from one of the largest malls in the area, Madera at Metro tenants will never be bored. Formerly known as Smoketree Apartments, Madera at Mero puts residents within walking distance of a 24 Hour Fitness and GNC, not to mention the mall itself. Harkins Theaters is also nearby for any movie lovers. In the round about that is Metro Park West, tenants will find every necessity within the loop. For family fun and entertainment, just on the other side of Metrocenter is Castles ‘n Coasters. Reviewers of this property note issues with maintenance and vandalism in the area. Located on North 35th Avenue, Northern Landing is right off of Interstate 17. Just down the street residents can enjoy a number of destinations, such as Chuck E. Cheese’s, Great Wall Buffet, Starbucks, Subway, Family Dollar, The Room Store, Safeway, and Walgreen's. Public transportation is readily available to the resident of Northern Landing, so commuting is a cinch. Many reviews complain that the units are old, and a few mention appliance malfunctions.
