I know the fitness center is supposed to be a draw for these apartments, but with LA Fitness right here, well, let's just say there are choices. Lots of southwest apartments have the same line up of things to do, but the racquetball courts are not typical apartment fare. The apartment sizes are wide-ranging and I think next time I would choose a two-bath unit because I have a roommate. The community is made up of all kinds of residents and I have met some fun people from all over. Tucson Mall is close by and Rillito Park shouldn't be missed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Sierra Vista Apartments boast heating, sewer, gas, AC and parking are included in the rental rates in this "newly remodeled" apartment community. Minutes away from the Tucson Mall and not far from the University of Arizona, Sierra Vista Apartments residents have good proximity to shopping and other community features but generally have not praised the management and maintenance of this apartment complex. In 2012 only one reviewer was pleased by Sierra Vista Apartments, glad for the pools and the enforcement of rules that keep things running well for the whole apartment community. Fox Point is situated on North Campbell Avenue, right beside the University of Arizona Medical Center. This makes Fox Point a great rental option for employees of the medical center. There is a good amount of green space in the area, as well--tenants need only stroll down the road to reach Rio Vista Park. There are a number of reviews that would like to see Fox Point management make upgrades to the property, including some of the appliances. Rillito Apartments is located 3 miles north of downtown Tucson and sits at the foot of the Catalina Foothills, in between Jacobs Park and Rio Vista Natural Resources Park. Residents are a mile away from the Tucson Mall, as well as a Sam’s Club, Walmart, and Home Depot next to the Rillito River. For a quick bite to eat, residents can walk across the road to Sonic Drive-In or get something fancier at the Guadalajara Grill. Campbell Ranch, formerly Rancho Montana Apartments, lies off I-10 and a few miles outside of downtown Tucson. Leaseholders can stroll either way down North Campbell Avenue to find a Trader Joe’s or Safeway less than a mile away. For some organic produce, leaseholders can check out the nearby St. Phillip’s Plaza, which hosts a farmer’s market on the weekend. Casa Espana is on North Park Avenue, just blocks from the University of Arizona’s campus. Students may find this complex the perfect choice for off-campus living without having to sacrifice proximity to the school. Right up the road, tenants will find a CVS, McDonald’s, 99 Cent Store, Dollar Tree, Subway, Sausage Deli, and Fry’s Food Store. Reviews have been mixed; there have been complaints of bugs and less than friendly maintenance staff.
