Meridian Apartments reside on the periphery of central San Jose and is a convenient commute to Campbell and Santa Clara. There is an eclectic mix of eateries in the neighborhood including Aqui Cal-Mex, , and Bill’s Cafe, a local favorite breakfast spot. Plenty of quick fix shops like Subway, Mr. Chau’s Chinese Fast Food, and Togo’s are close by. The community is enriched by cultural exhibitions that are great for weekend visits like the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium, the Tech Museum of Innovation, the Children’s Discovery Museum, and the San Jose Museum of Art. Despite the location, the building’s management has changed several times over the years, and reviewers report disruptive noise and poor complex maintenance.

The Alameda Gardens is located just down the street from several public transportation stations; the Caltrain, Amtrak, and AceRail are all less than a mile away. Grocery shopping is simple with Alfredo's Produce right outside the complex and Trader Joe's and Safeway both within the neighborhood. HP Pavilion is half a mile away from the apartments and is home of the Sharks and the Sabercats - come watch a hockey match or football game on the weekend, or catch big-name artists that stop by the pavilion. Despite the prime location, some tenant reviewers consider the area to be unsafe and the sound insulation of the apartments to be poor.
