With three levels and 9 layouts to choose from, Enclave has a full range of apartments from studio to 2 bedroom and 2 bath. Some larger 3rd floor units have a fireplace. Units have washer, dryer, dishwasher. There is covered parking (parking is assigned so you don't have the problem of not getting a spot) and extra storage is available. Enclave had a wave of negative reviews several years ago and I don't see those same problems~ current management doesn't hesitate to address issues. Rents here are the middle of the pack for the San Jose area so being next to the Guadalupe River and trail is an extra fitness benefit in addition to the amenities provided. Read all reviews...

The Fountains At River Oaks is located off Montague Expressway and within minutes from I-880. Just outside the complex is a circle of eateries including Hobee's, Premier Pizza, Kaati Fresh, which serves up gluten-free options, and China Taste, which presents a wide variety of options for all tastes. Golf buffs will enjoy the building's close proximity to the San Jose Municipal Golf Course and those seeking other recreational activities will find that Sunnyvale Baylands Park is nearby and overlooks an inlet of San Francisco Bay. Reviewers have complained about an inattentive management staff and unsafe neighborhood, but a recent review in August 2012 mentioned new management and new renovations in the apartments. The Redwoods at North Park resides in a safe community surrounded by multiple Light Rail stops on North 1st Street and Tasman Drive. The complex is just next door to the San Andreas Regional Center that serves to help those with developmental disorders and is also well equipped with two community parks: Moitozo Park just along the building and River Oaks Park right across Zanker Road. Restaurants that are under 2 miles away include Banana Leaf, which serves Malaysian cuisine; Loving Hut with Szechuan style dishes; and Piatti Ristorante & Bar, known for friendly service and authentic Italian.
