Right along Bear Creek Trail sits Bear Valley Park Apartments. As the name suggests, the name of the park nearby is Bear Creek Park and it is just across Route 285. Reviewers enjoy the accessibility to public transit with the bus stop leading into Blackhawk right across Dartmouth Avenue. Just across Dartmouth Ave is a shopping center that contains a Redbox for movie rentals. Food such as IHOP, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s is also available. Westwood College is not far from Bear Valley, perfect for any students. While there have been problems with security, Carmel Management has since taken over and has been working to rectify discrepancies.

Located just off Route 285, Water’s Edge Apartments are a good deal for the money and situated in a prime location. According to current reviews, when a resident issue occurred, it was taken care of promptly. Tenants are provided the luxury of Bear Creek Trail for outdoor running and biking within walking distance. In 2 miles there is Pinehurst Country Club where members can play 1 of the 2 courses offered. In these apartments there is no reason to sit at home when residents are surrounded by parks such as Academy Park about 1 mile away.

Hunters Ridge is in Southwest Denver, on South Fenton Street. The complex is located right next to Bear Valley Park, and just off of Highway 285. Nearby, tenants can catch public transportation to other parts of the city, or visit one of the many retail and dining locations, such as McDonald’s, Jade Café, KFC, Bank of the West, Taco Bell, Walgreen's, IHOP, and Home Depot, just to name a few. The premises is about halfway between Denver’s Downtown and Red Rocks State Park, so renters can attend music festivals and take in the mountain air any time they so desire. As of March 2013, there are no resident reviews posted on Hunters Ridge On Bear Creek.
