Located in a quiet suburb of western Saint Louis, the Orchid Terrace Independent Retirement Living center is a welcoming retirement home assisting many older folks. The center’s staff provides transportation to and from popular attractions such as the Museum of Art, the St. Louis Zoo, and The Golden Arch. Additionally, they create a calendar each month, which is filled with exciting opportunities for residents to socialize and relax at the center. Reviewers agree that the center’s best feature is their staff; warm, friendly, accommodating and especially caring towards their residents. Southpointe Apartments is located near I-270 and I-55 a little over 15 miles from the heart of St. Louis. Residents can find entertainment at Concord Lanes or Ronnie's 20 Cinema. Occupants will not go hungry with the many restaurants in the area, including TGI Friday's, 54th Street Bar and Grill, Roberto's Trattoria, and Joey B's Food & Drink. Deerfield Apartments are in the prime position for tenants interested in shopping. The property sits right off Butler Hill Road and offers quick access to 270 or 55 and Central City South Shopping Center. Kindred Hospital is also right down the road. One reviewer recently praised how clean the community is, in addition to how safe she feels living in the gated community with her two young children. Despite having space to ride bikes and swim in the on-site pool, the reviewer would like to see a playground added for her children to play on. Glen Arbor Apartments stands right off of I-270 and I-255, 15 miles from downtown. Bus stops can be found right down the road for a quick commute to the city. A number of small businesses surround the apartments and are perfect for residents employed at those establishments. Leaseholders can go to Sears to shop or stop by Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill or Bob Evans for a bite to eat.
