The Mariner At South Shores stand off of Route 95 on North Buffalo Drive. Downtown Vegas is about 12 miles away and an easy commute with the nearby bus stops. Summerhill Plaza and Wolf Creek Plaza are situated above and below the complex, providing tenants with great shopping and dining thanks to places like BabyStacks Cafe, Walgreens, and Northside Nathans Pizza. Occupant reviews speak highly of the staff, in spite of the slow maintenance crew.

San Mortiz Apartments are right off West Washington Avenue, a walk-able distance from Kmart, Trader Joe's, and Lowe's Shopping Center across the street. The Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex is a few miles away, though there is a gym and heated pool on site.
Many reviewers agree the staff was friendly and helpful. Two former tenants said they had a few bug problems in 2012, which one reviewer resolved himself. Parking is considered adequate, though there is enough room for visitors to park and management assigns tenant parking spaces.
